I think my most recent try at this particular sadomasochism-fest, I used an autosave to try the same late-game fight about four or five different ways, and got my poor little queen-to-(not)be killed every single time. I think they're gorgeous, and I'm pretty sure they're distinct enough that I'd be able to memorize what each one was for fairly quickly.
As an aside, Bloax, were you at all inspired by the spell icons from TES:Daggerfall? Couple of them really remind me of that style!

I've got way, way more than my money's worth out of Bionic Dues, and I bought it on release, so I'd definitely recommend that one. It's not really "like rogue", of course, but you know what? There are other kinds of games that are also fun, and it's one of them.
