Re: YASD: Ongoing DEWz Executions

I actually tend to use Meph quite liberally pretty far into the game when playing casters. It takes the punch out of things like centaur/yaktuar packs. It defangs many otherwise deadly uniques as you progress through the game. It makes it far easier to beat Orc:4 without going elsewhere first. It ca...

Plus, and I don't think I've mentioned this, I always clear everything, for all 122 of those games (now working on #123). You will splat and die with those defenses. Train your Dodging and Armor ASAP. Turn off everything else until they're higher. Only train as much shortblades as you need to get to one aut per swing until your defenses are better.

I'd also put some more points into Dex.

I'm no Crawl expert, but it looks pretty good to me! I'd keep training up armor and dodging before more fighting at this point. Your EV is a little low. I'd also be putting some more points into M&F. You don't want your swings to take more than 1 aut, so make sure you're at that point. You shoul...

I wouldn't worry about getting the trident to mindelay yet. Getting it to only taking 1 unit of speed is good, but past that isn't really necessary at this point. What the subject says. I've only rarely tried to use them, and I found it difficult to justify the turns of equipping them and using them unless I was already out of other resources.
