Any species with decent +stealth apts and stealth modifier does well as delver. Starting with 6+ stealth allows you to kill enough stuff to level.

Just wish the "short blade" start would be a dagger instead of short sword, to go with the stabbing theme.

Harm is good if you do ranged damage and/or have high HP to tank spiky damage rolls. I've worn Harm on SprigganConjurer to boost magic missile damage and on a couple polearm characters.

New hunger clock is actually relevant on weak species. I expect that must be changed a bit. I play quickly on melee octopodes compared to average players and even there its been tight a couple times.

Ring managment for 'podes isn't so much about diminishing returns as about opportunity cost of other rings. Your weakest ring is +5Int, I'd choose +8Str over that. I would not change any of your other seven ring against the +8Str.

Honestly not that surprising seeing as you have 3(!) dodging trained. Just turn on dodging and never turn it off as a 'pode. How do you even survive your first centaurs with so little dodging? Or basically anything?

Getting stabs in on the Royal Jelly has become much harder in the last couple versions. The slime vault has been made transparent inside which doubles Royal Jelly wake up chances over the old layout.

Dungeon first down to D:15. Swamp is the next and you should use a poison resistant form there. Poison gas attacks will hit you very very hard otherwise and you only have 6 !curing.

Troves are very inconsistent right now. Octopodes don't get armour troves because its too easy to use them. So yeah, in a couple years when Trove overhaul is due this is likely going to be corrected one way or another.

Its got a hard-coded 3-tile range of smite-targeted attacks. Other polearms can miss when reaching with text like "your orc zombie prevented you from hitting the centaur", this one doesn't have that chance.

Rule of thumb is 2points enchantment=1 base damage. Gauntlets of War have +5 and also +3AC and are thus well worth the trade.

Spend a blink scroll and then go to D:12. War Gargoyles are crazy dangerous,(its shrapnel does 3d27!) and the Crystal Golem will frequently fire trough other monsters with its insane elemental bolt that also bounces. Unless you use ?Blink you have a high chance of dying.

In general I support this change, but there would need to be some sort of provision for non-armour users, felids/octopods. For these types of characters the extra damage reduction trough 3 pips is really important since there is no other damage reduction. Eating Fireballs at only rF+ sounds real bad.

Your char dump link doesnt work.

Dodging/fighting is always solid if you are happy with damage output right now. Do not go unarmed. If you want more damage go double sword. Shield is a good idea, if you dont train too much and dont use spells.

No, she does not consider it. We already have a god/dess with A) gifts and B) instant full piety mechanism. And Zins ability gets misused.

You mention the tradeoff one faces yourself: delaying extra magic training for piety gain has huge survival costs.
