Taking a Break

Hey, guys. Just wanted to say that I'm taking a break from Crawl and the Tavern for at least a few months so I can focus on writing my book. I'm afraid you guys simply made the game too much fun-- I can't focus on actually doing what I need to do, which is probably not beating Executioners to death....

No, it's most likely a vapour. If it was Nikola, you'd already be dead; Chain Lightning is not the kind of thing you shrug off. Vapours are annoying, but not really that dangerous. It's permanently confused, so it won't follow you. It'll just kind of throw out lightning bolts in random directions on...

You're not going to get the regen effect of the artifact anyway, since you're already a troll. I would use the PDA, if you can get some more enchant armor scrolls.

Does wild magic suck? Yes. But I'm fairly certain it was intended to be this way. Permanently altering or boosting your character should not be without risk, and this is a similar kind of effect to "You grow horns!" and the like-- there's a benefit, yes, but it comes with a significant dra...

Transmuter is getting me in trouble with DS when I get great DS mutations. Which is better: Claws 3 or Blade Hands? Vine Stalker Monk is an excellent unarmed combatant, but I think Vine Stalker is a bit broken - seems too powerful compared to things like Trolls. Maybe I'm just not casting spells, I...

Keep the troll leather armor for now, but only if you can't find leather with a good resistance (like magic resistance). Seriously, what the !@#$? 53 damage? I'd just enchanted my ice dragon armor!
