I like using Makhleb, and I try not to use Greater Servent until Inv is at least 10 or 11. IIRC, even at 27 Invocations, there is still a 4 or 5 % chance that it will end up hostile. or you could just play a normal character and not worry about aux attacks since the only ones that really matter are VS ones Right... since a minotaur headbutt that tags a monster that you're not even attacking doesn't matter. Since that headbutt target may end up dead.... it doesn't matter. :mrgre...

I'll agree completely that Felids are a really tough race to play.
But overall, I think the only change that I'd like to see made to them is the return of the jump ability.

What about Ring of Flames? It is ######.... with 10% failure. RoF will still do an awesome job for you at that spell power. The failure rate should go down in time, with minor training in either SpellCasting/FireMagic/Charms. Once it's at 5%, you're golden with it. And there's your enhancer for you...

Just for future reference, for next time you run into an executioner, summons might make a difference.
By that time in the game, you have a powerful option with BiA (Brothers in Arms).
Even one or two of those could have helped turn the tide.
Even if it was to let you run like hell! ;)

On a Fighter or Berserker, I generally love finding an amulet of GS. Makes a great pair, since I won't likely be using MP for much of anything.
Any other class, the Brooch is a wonderful find (especially casters of all classes).

Really, in your case, I see it as a coin toss.

Draconians make excellent conjurers and wizards. Good aptitudes across the boards mean that you're not really going against any negative apts for spells. And having a +1 to Fighting , 10% more HP and innate AC really helps the survivability factor once you get past the first few dungeon levels. *EDI...

Personally, I would grab the SoA and both leathers. Either of the evokables would be nice for easy mid-game help.
