Corpse Rot is most likely the most powerful spell early Necromancer can get. You do get the warning if you're casting Corpse Rot under some other corpse not to get engulfed by miasma. If a game-breaking spell does not make you happy when playing a necromancer, I'd suggest play something else. Corps...

No need to invest too heavily in weapon until late game (if ever). I'd def use the vamp trident over chaos brand anything. Also, there is no need to get it to min delay on your weapon as a mummy caster. Every millimeter of skill gain is pure pain.

GDA with -tele + Chei, however, is pretty awful. I'd take a mail of fire or magic resistance over this armour, or any dragon armour.

Keep Chei, drop that armour. You can win in any armour and -tele will hurt more than gda will help. That is, if your aim is to win.

Melee is best because you don't have to pick up ammo or devote extra inv to it, and don't have to worry about running out of magic during a fight.

Interesting. One of my most memorably crawl moments was when I got myself into a really tight spot in Abyss with SH3. <10health. Can't recall the specifics, but spectators pitched in on tactics and I was able to get out alive. I think it was fun for all involved.

My only beef with this one is that snake is a lot harder than spider, esp. for a hex build. Getting snake is a kick in the ol' ass.
