Re: SpEn mid/late game problems

I'm amazed with the discussions, really interesting to see the arguments :) I decided to try out as many of the suggestions as possible, since both summoning and necromancy are my least-comfort zone-schools by far. So I unlearned tornado and tried Mana vipers, haunt, death channel, silence, darkness...

Re: SpEn mid/late game problems

Some different views on this, really appreciate it.

As a final note, what would be a good weapon? I think there is at least one demon whip available (brand unknown, cannot look it up right now). If I had the option, should I take a double sword/lajatang and drop the shield?

Re: SpEn mid/late game problems

Thanks for all the input. For specifics, what would be a better weapon? I'm assuming I should keep the shield, and from what I can recall the quick blades are pretty rare. Short blades does seem rather unexiting outsite of stabbing from my experience. Also, seems like some of you don't like the choi...

SpEn mid/late game problems

Hi, As the title suggests I'm having trouble with how I should approach the mid/late game with my Spriggans. Starting with stabbing and some hexes is very reliable, but I'm having trouble in progressing past the stab-plan. I have let many Sp down that has taken 1 or 2 runes but then start having tro...

CIP: TeBe, ideas for avoiding death appreciated

Hello fellow crawlers, i'm in a quite sticky situation. I just killed TRJ for my third rune and had to take a random tele out of the mess after he/she died. As you can see in my morgue file two azure yellies are having their way with me. Any ideas how to solve this situation? How do I know if they w...

Configure button for closing doors

Hi, i have customized most of my bindings (used this config for a year or two) including the C-key for movement and cannot find a way to configure how to close doors. Anyone knows how to do it? in 0.15 i could Ctrl-click with the mouse (as a work around) but since 0.16 it swings my weapon instead. A...

CiP DEVM - a few questions

Hi all, I was hoping for some advice on my current run. Having cleared snake and shoals I am a little lost how to proceed (first time this far in 0.14). What should I go for armour-wise? I just found a FDA, or well the skin but I have a scroll. Alternatives is the MTA (which i'm not so impressed by)...

Thanks for the advice, I found a cTele-ring in Elven Halls and used it to tele to a corner. All went fine until I met a draconian ghost which was way too hard for me. I managed to escape and pick up the slime rune instead :) Morgue if anyone is interested: Dungeon Crawl Stone Soup version 0.13-a0-28...

CiP HEFE - question about V5 -> YAVP

Hi all, i hope you are having a great day. Lately I've been having some problems with V5, I think my three latest promising characters have died there. To avoid continuing this streak I have come for guidance - what is the best way of clearing V5 with this character? (tips in general are welcome as ...

I mean that I dont understand how its possible to beat them at XL 21 - i think that they are pretty rough at XL 27. I can handle them, but if I compare to how strong my chars usually are at 21 OoF would pose a serious threat.

Hi, hope you all are doing fine this lovely day. I have a CiP here and just faced a rather interesting dilemma. Thanks for the advice, smart usage areas of blocking LOS both for blink and torment.

I don't think mephitic cloud would work since it doesn't block LOS - but I guess creating steam can (fire over water, steam Draconian's spit comes to mind).
