Re: Fun with polymorph (penance?)

Yeah.... no.

It's not that tedious. What's tedious is having a god go to crap after midgame. That's tedious.

Re: God Options for Rogues, Archers and Warrior Mages

It has been improving since I joined in the times of 0.10. Why has it been going to shit? Ah.... 0.10... I think I found the problem. You don't see the direction this game is going? It's going to devolve into a RL Simulator with everything they're removing. At the starting screen you choose your sp...

Re: Sethygir: Sea God and Water Addition

Only pet projects get added to the game it seems. Well, nice try OP. An amazing idea that is gonna get overlooked. But hey, maybe if you suggested *removing* a god the higher ups would've LOVED the idea.

Re: God Options for Rogues, Archers and Warrior Mages

a nice option for stealth characters is Yred, surprisingly... when he gifts a profane servitor the Umbra they grant is a decent stealth bonus. Other than that, I agree with OP. By the way, I also love how people in this thread a pretending Chei is a good god... HAHA! It's an interesting design, but ...

Re: Fun with polymorph (penance?)

Polymorphing my shrooms and oklobs into thorn hunters and treants was a MAJOR boost for fedhas fedhas and in my honest opinion totally worth the penance. I was only bringing it up cause waiting out the penance was truly annoying. The thorn hunters added a nice tactical option with their briar patche...

Re: Fun with polymorph (penance?)

I think the problem here is that Polymorph doesn't turn your allies neutral. It's way to easy to scum polymorph for better allies. Just letting Fedhas followers grow new Forest plants like they grow oklobs and shrooms now might be a good idea but: 1) It might be unbalanced since Fedhas is already a...

Re: Sethygir: Sea God and Water Addition

I love this idea - I also notice heavy Song of Ice and Fire flavor. I hope this gets considered.... although seeing how whacky things have gotten in this game lately I doubt it'll happen. :(

Fun with polymorph (penance?)

I've been trying to ascend a merfolk IE of fedhas as of late... while I was exploring the dungeon an orc warrior happened upon a wand of polymorph and used it on my wandering shroom, which then polymorphed into a thorn hunter and proceeded to decimate the orc. I was pleased to see that the transform...

Re: New Species - Drider (Top Half Elf, Bottom Half Spider)

I think racial equipment is under-used. I think racial equipment is over-rated and it should probably be removed so that people don't get tricked into believing it does anything important What's with everyone's obsession on this forum with removing features rather than building upon them? I firmly ...

Re: Random gods revisited

You know, I was thinking, what if we semi-merge this idea with the demigod idea? It's been talked about before. Basically, as your piety rises, you'd gain god abilities pooled from one of these randomly generated god. Of course, the source of which wont be stated as such, instead it'll make a flavor...

Re: Okawau face-lift

While I don't expect every god to be consistently powerful or usable in the late/post game I find it to be a huge issue when a god isn't feasible to even reach Zot half the time with out relying on non-god tools Emphasis mine. Would you not describe melee combat as a "non-god tool"? How d...

Re: Okawau face-lift

Have you considered using Haste and Finesse at the same time? Are you not aware that Finesse is better than Haste when it comes to melee damage (2x speed)? Your argument against training skills to 22 (or lower levels, since you really don't need 27 skill) is "ash is better at gaming xp" (...

Re: Okawau face-lift

Hm, at any rate I do still believe Oka deserves some sort of reworking. The argument that we already have gods that gift perma allies is not a reasonable one considering Oka's unique ally mechanic/conduct (which as of right now barely serves any purpose outside of excluding summoners and doesn't do ...

Re: Okawau face-lift

But why would I train to 22 when I can train to 27 and stop relying on Heroism? Stopping at 22 is good for hybrids I suppose, but still... I think a onetime warrior is a bit different than a cloud of orcs or a cloud of various undead. Those are expendable, this is sometime quite different considering...

Okawau face-lift

Let's face it - Okawaru is plagued by a simple idea that works well but can turn very bland, very quickly. This notion is obviously not something new with those of us that have been playing for years - but I figured, after brainstorming about this one night, I might as well make an account and share...
