Maybe have it differentiate between large and small piety costs? A general large - medium - small categorization should be enough of an indication.

EDIT: apparently it's already in the detailed description of god abilities. Maybe also show it in the 'a' screen?

Looking through the vaults for the hells, there seem to be very few vaults which include stairs. Since the stairs are probably the most important parts of the Hell:1-6 levels, could a number of vaults that include stairs be interesting? Since this still takes at most 1 aut, the maximum height of the ceiling can be calculated as h = .5g(.5t)^2 = .5*.033*(.05)^2 = .00004125. Everything in Crawl would thus appear smooshed and pancake-like to us, although they are probably too used to it to notice, and don't think of "up" or...

I like it! However, I think he actually has too much stuff going on now; the dream world is such a special and game-impacting ability, the stuff like silence and reality check might be a bit too much. I think we can definitely drop reality check, as it's really really freakin' hard to balance anyway...

The damage could just go away after a set number of turns Hm... I'm not sure how I feel about that. It would be useful, especially since it would be irresistible, but when the flayed damage is going away, it might feel like the monster just got regeneration when you thought it was almost dead. It's also pretty darn difficult for anyone who is *not* a stabber to avoid making noise, both large melee weapons and high level spells are VERY noisy, so as-is this would be a god anyone other than a stabber would have a LOT of trouble gaining piety with. @Reaver: I think he's looking for more implicit quests: not 'bring character X to place Y and you'll get item Z', but more like 'if you wanted to, you could do X, which may or may not give you some kind of reward'. Like the hungry kobold vault Utis pointed out: you can kill those kobolds if you want...
