And I died escaping from Tartarus:7 with all 15 runes. Man, that was dumb -- I had blinking scrolls, could cast controlled blink, and could escape to the abyss. Instead I decided to try to finish off a shadow fiend, and died to a 59-damage bolt of cold (3d27 - 0-45 AC). Slogging through tomb and he...

Re: [Advice] End Game God option for Deep Dwarf

I would advise sticking with TSO at this point and heading to Pan/Hells. If your MP starts getting too low (<15), you might consider just going and winning, as Zot will take a lot of recharges with TSO. In general, I would recommend not switching from Makh for extended. Makh's hp regen is still good...

Right but Qazlal is not turning you into a draconian (as duvessa hinted at), he is giving you a defensive brand. So making it consistent with pre-existing defensive brands makes more sense.

Edit: Though I agree that the AC is underwhelming unless you already have the other resists covered.

The AC+3 is actually more consistent. Protection brand on armour (only possible for shields) is +3 AC. Maybe you could argue that it should be +5 since that's what the protection brand gives on a weapon, but to that I would reply that the protection brand should probably always give 3AC regardless o...
