I cannot find it in any file in the settings tab, the only "language" I find in any file in the settings file is in init.txt, and there only in comments.

Switch Vehumet and Sif.
Vehumet enhances your spells and basically grants you upgrades to what you do, i.e. higher level destructive spells.
Sif Muna gives you spells that may go into much other directions and helps you channel mana.
I'd say Chei and Lugonu change the gameplay, too.

Yeah, I know, I just wanted to pack as many wands as possible and had only heard about harpies a day or two before, so I went "They can destroy food? That isn't good for my Spriggans" and thought I would be playing it safe by taking none in there.

Didn't Nemelex dislike wasting decks with nothing around (Of course, only offensive decks, i.e. Destruction and Summoning, and maybe Defense, too, for buffs and stuff)?

Ok, thanks for the tips!
I think I will train spellcasting and fighting with focused fighting, and then switch fighting to armour for a while.
To and into:
Annihilations was found on D:6, so I pumped Conjurations up to get them castable fast.
But I will go for more survivability at first, now :D

I always thought that BS lets through everything magical (Magic Darts, OODs, IMBs), but blocks everything physical (Darts, Arrows, Javelins etc), regardless of who fired it.

I do not know much about what you should do, but one thing:
Scrolls are never cursed, neither are potions, and there is no blessing in Crawl.

Well, if he doesn't care about the monsters killing each other yet, I think he should be at least slightly amused.
I think being amused by the spell itself would be a little too "strong".
Also, maybe he could be greatly amused by one of the monsters coming after you?

All enemies are secretly mages.
They have this cool trick that when they grip an object with both hands, and then pull in opposite directions, each hand will hold a copy of the original object.
That is all there is to it, though.
