There's a treasure trove in my game which wants +2 fire dragon scales. Sounds easy, since those things are supposed to drop from fire dragons. But by now I've killed 16 fire dragons (8 myself, 8 through my summons), and no scales have dropped. In addition, I've killed 3 gold dragons, 4 shadow dragon...

I never really trained Evocations, but after your suggestion I did in my last game, and I got some good use out of it in a few panic situations. (My MiBe had his life saved by a wand of scattershot once or twice, I think.) So thanks!

Any chance you just have the magic mapping intrinsic? At level 1 it looks something like this: you get to see some tiles of the dungeon, but in blue because you're not shown what is on them.
