any kind of explicit difficulty selection will never be implemented in the game I think
and in fact, your race and deity choice can already affect the difficulty of the game

I kinda like the hell effect since thats what pushes you to not rest and try to go through the branch asap. Id like to see this concept going further(idk how tho)

The last time a "lunging" special move came up for LBl, I pointed out that it would be a nightmare (and/or absurd) to escape from a monster wielding any LBl. If they get the ability, then it would be suicide to walk away unless you do the immensely silly thing of alternating diagonals so ...

you have bunch of armor already so you will benefit from cpa definitely
also +1 dwhip is far from a good weapon. Try rebranding your gmace if you have a chance

crushing eveningstar does more damage on rc dudes
freezing demon whip does more damage on none rc dudes
antimagic is your go-to against dangerous casters

and its not like you cant swap weapons or anything

im pretty sure elec is better if you dont have massive slaying

My main spells range (Lightning bolt + freezing cloud) already are same as LoS... That's why I think it wouldn't be a great deal : less LoS means less turns before a monster comes to melee...

but youll see less dudes to kill anyways if you have a smaller LOS
