I am really torn on reinstalling Hollow Knight to check out the expansions' content On the one hand, the game was amazing, but on the other hand, I did steel soul at release and replaying a metroidvania without the exploring part just doesn't do it for me if you didn't like the boss fights than God...

Don't. The last 6 levels of axes are stupidly, ridiculously expensive, and would be spent better almost anywhere else. Necromancy is a good choice.
