Simple question:
Is playing extended in order to be more powerful when going for the Orb a stupid idea ?

Is there a way to do some manual key binding ? I can't use \ and [ on mac because they require one or more control keys.

The lack of wands is absolutely my fault. I always get tons of them and it's really anoying considering that I rarely need them. So I either dump them all or don't pick them up at all. I guess I should pick some of them before going into Zot. This was stupid of me. Wands don't get burned

Thought about this today: why is there not an MR slot on the player screen like for other resistances ? Is it because there is more than 3 level of resistance ?

Unrelated question, is there any advantage to play HOBe instead of MiBe ?
I just read their respective wiki and I can't see why I played HO instead of Mi all this time. The only downsides I see are: no helmet, not saprovore.

Orb spiders aren't usually too much, I killed plenty before this one.
This one was exceptionnally lucky in staying 'almost dead' long enough for me to burn through wands instead of getting a BiA: I was so sure I was gonna kill it each turn that I didn't wanna burn piety for it.

If I recall well: I opened a door with lot of 'red-named' monsters, summoned 3 BiA and started running. Did not think to use wand of haste or potion of speed. Run toward a dead end instead of the obvious door to the adjacent room... Died miserably.

I did not try to engage the Lich until I had my back against the wall, and I was already to low on HP then... I did not try to use any potion by fear of losing a turn and being hit without landing at least one blow to it.

Yeah he did but I left it in Lair...
