I find OgWz is a fantastic build to play with their +2 Spc, +2 Fgt, and +3 M&F aptitudes. Although I haven't gotten much farther then Temple with them, I still find them incredibly fun to play with a nice flexible synergy of magic and melee. I just had the stupidest death I've had yet. I had a great GhMo of Kiku rolling along, at level 14, with some nice book finds and on the path to becoming a decent hybrid. I was in Lair, and I tackled 1-7 with no problems, and then found myself in some rather hazardous situations in 8, so I decided t...

Re: The 'Questions too small to need their own thread' threa

You do take a bit of extra damage from fighting jellies unarmed while not wearing gloves (which damages them if they are worn, although GhMos shouldn't be wearing them much in the first place), but it's fairly negligible and very safe unless you're at very low HP. I don't really think it's worth it ...

Nope, they convert the ammo to bolts of fire/cold, so they do indeed do entirely elemental damage, which means any monsters with three pips of resist take no damage from them.

You are probably right about the flat number of turns thing, that won't work out. I think that the Invest idea might be possible, but it just seems a bit iffy and encourages you to sacrifice every little thing that has value to get a good item. If you really want to take Sigmund easily, play a Berserker. Any kind work, but Troll and Kobold are generally the best. However, pretty much ANY race with Berserk should (keyword: should) be able to take him down.
