This is the best idea I've ever read.

Re: YASD: Rest in Peace, Ribrack Steakchew

It's easy to give them food names (Ribrack Steakchew, Steakface Meatchest, Beefhorn Flankbone, etc.).

I suppose I might be open to other races, though.

Re: YASD: Rest in Peace, Ribrack Steakchew

So, for subsequent runs: Any advice on how to build a Monkzerker/Unarmed Minotaur in terms of skill order and stuff?

Re: YASD: Rest in Peace, Ribrack Steakchew

The throwing was before I had decided to switch over to TSO (Shoals-y, way before Crypt) to make use of the javelins. I should've brought a couple of my Javelins of Penetration there, really. Bluh.

Re: Where to next? (MiBe CIP with my first-ever Rune)

Do you have +rMut available? Otherwise neqoxec can pose a serious threat while you're navigating there. Also look out for ancient lich/daeva/profane servitor. They can spawn in the abyss and can end your character. How about conservation? Smoke demons can burn your scrolls relatively quick. These t...

Re: Where to next? (MiBe CIP with my first-ever Rune)

Trog gave me a Distortion Spear (as I found out by equipping it). De-equipping it banished me. Luckily, I was in the Shoals and so have my Boots of Levitation for easier navigation. I'm just going to roam for the rune at this point (already skipped a portal out) since nothing in here is challenging ...

Re: Where to next? (MiBe CIP with my first-ever Rune)

That's definitely working. Vault 8 (Got the Rune btw) got me up to +17 before I ran out of Shadow Dragons. And yet I'm still scared to go to the Shoals. Should I go fulltime Wyrmbane there so I can leave permafood at home and butcher as I go? Also, I'm handily beating everything; I haven't really be...

Re: Where to next? (MiBe CIP with my first-ever Rune)

Huh. That's what I'd imagined, but it seems to be... problematic to get it to reliably stat up. Any way of guaranteeing it will happen or increasing the odds?

Re: Where to next? (MiBe CIP with my first-ever Rune)

Oho, base damage is the only part that gets my skill multiplier? That changes quite a lot. I have a vampiric Glaive, so I think I shall switch over to that for the time being, since I have the Polearms to get minimum delay on that already. Acquirement... well, I guess I'm gonna gamble on a book and ...

Re: Where to next? (MiBe CIP with my first-ever Rune)

Ah, you were right. I hadn't realized how much I had stashed, but in addition to the 6 rations I carried at all times I had a total of 20 stashed back in the Lair. I've switched to the Vampiric Demon Trident fulltime and oh my GOD I am never going to look back. This thing is ridiculous. I'm neglecti...

Re: Where to next? (MiBe CIP with my first-ever Rune)

A problem thought occurs to me. Is that Demon Trident going to have the wonky nutritional requirements every time I butcher something since you technically have to unequip non-bladed weapons to butcher?

YASD: Rest in Peace, Ribrack Steakchew

So far this playthrough has been a bit of a gimme; I got an early Scroll of Acquirement and have been using the same Demon Trident of Flame I have now since Dungeon 5/6. I've recently been gifted a Vampiric Demon Trident that I suspect won't have the massive enchantment levels I've built up on my Fi...
