Yeah, I find this particularly annoying since spacebar *does* scroll down in the inventory menu, Having different behavior for similar menus is bad, particularly since the drop menu has plenty of keyspace for a non-conflicting key to toggle the current item.

Felid claws are already in-game a different attack type than troll or ghoul claws (Because of the stabbing), so it's fairly reasonable to me that they'd have a different stat base.

Yeah there is no way, it's intended to be that way. You have to shatter your current equipment, equip the new item and wait to see what curse generates (possibly rejecting it to wait for a different result), there's no way to farm for a preferred curse before you shatter your old equipment.

Any race that can't wear armour and/or has to rely on transmutations is pretty close to terrible. Transmutation reliant builds are, IMO, generally somewhat harder than conjuration type builds (for any given race with the possible exception of troll and maybe ogre), and Dr will have better defenses ...

Ice form is probably the best form for hydras (ice branded attacks can slow them), also you can use wands or just avoid them (They move normal speed)

Spider form isn't so great, they're poison resistant.

Usually 1 MP is worth a lot more than 1 HP, I mean mentally if I compare "Get off one more level 9 attack spell" or "Have 9 more hps to defend attacks with" the former is going to lead me to victory more often than the latter.
