I spent a long time @ -4, I can't tell how much, but I've been fine for 7000+ turns. THe game is only 19000 so I could not have spent more than 5000 turns negative INT and I really doubt I spent that long. Is there a way to tell?

DECj of Veh really doesn't need weapons, in my current, I'm lvl 14 and have only killed things with my dagger by accident.

Are bolts really that rare in the early game? Rarer than stones and arrows, I'm sure, but I see a lot of bolts on the floor.

Also, if they are, isn't that just tedium? Crossbows are quite rare, and I can understand why that is, but I don't think it necessarily follows that bolts should also be rare.

What was surprising to me was that doubling up the attacks with the speed brand didn't end up being a little better than +8 +flame. after all, with cleave, shouldn't i be geting 6 attacks where I got three before. Speed is supposed to be 58% better on two-handed weapons.
