Lugonu and Zin both have pretty good escape options and if you know what you're doing I think Chei is a fine choice as well

Regen is annoying to cast. Partial solution: make it last until it's done a full HP bar's worth of healing. Any attempted healing while already at full HP is wasted. This also adds a fun risk/reward mechanic, where you gain more benefit if you cast it at low HP, and there's a reason to spend a turn...

If you must kill her, use buffs and reset the fight with a wand of tele over and over until terrible caster AI lets you kill her. But it depends on your character. Throwing up Haste and Orbs of Destruction with Brilliance and maybe a few evocation blasts/god abilities can finish her if she makes poo...

If you desperately need invisibility you can still swap away from Vampiric for it, you won't starve. But with Vampiric+Makhleb+Your Defenses, I don't really see WHY you'd need to go invisible.

As for Hydras, I'd just use Vampiric and nuke them with 16 Makhleb Invocations.

Scythes with Reach and Cleaving gets mentioned every time scythes get brought up and this is clearly a sign it should be implemented.

Mostly so Reapers become whirlwinds of hellish destruction, but Scythe-Zigging and Sigmund murdering summons and skeletons could be interesting little bonuses as well.

I'm pretty sure Trollform is better or at least on par with most transmutations outside of niche cases. If I was going to be a troll transmuter, I'd probably get sticks-to-snakes online as a summoning/escape option but then stick with straightforward troll claws and large rocks. I'm not too familiar...

It's more about whether i get better overall defensive stats with another piece of armour. I think FDA will give you more AC, but if you don't think you need the resist fire from FDA, I'd stick with Moon Troll- the spirit shield and regeneration are pretty good. Having +4 FDA to swap to is probably worthwhile for Zot since you never know when an Orb of Fire will show up, but I'd wear Moon Troll instead for any non-Fire locations of the game. I wouldn't worry about Silence unless you're doing Tomb, and I'd definitely train up Fighting and ignore Dmsl. I thin...
