I disagree. The Abyss rune mimic is the most obnoxious mimic in crawl.

My opinion:

Crocodiles should drop crocodile skin which can be worn or enchanted as boots!

Who would not want crocodile skin boots?

Yeah, I've got 9 runes so far with this fortunate build. +12 Vampire's Tooth + rings of slaying is a force to be reckoned with ..

Hell is finished, Pan is next.. I'm going for 15 runes.

hmm.. I switched to TSO .. then used wand of digging to create a long dead end tunnel to wait out Trog's wrath.. However about 1000 turns or so.. i get message saying "You lost your religion!" wth well it doesn't seem like have TSO wrath though.. I'm just without religion still under Trog ...

Ok, I cleared the Slime Pits! This was the first time for me (I never killed the Royal Jelly before) But the vault loot was blah... There was not a single useful item except a randart ring that I'll use in place of fire prot when situation requires it. The sad thing is that I got more bad mutations....

Just in case you might find this helpful, the spreadsheet defaults to a shield being equipped. If you want stats on 2 handed weapons you need to change 'default shield' to 'no shield' in the spreadsheet. This will then give damage values for 2-handed weapons like Executioner's Axe, for example.

Update.. I have 3 runes now, but still no neg resistance or elec resistance. Well I'll finish clearing out the last 2 rooms of Vault 8 first and see if anything shows. yeah, but using scroll of vorpalize weapon gives velocity brand to longbow, which is much better than that god gift. That's why, thanks but no thanks.. :lol:

If DCSS is a casino, Wizmode is like being the "house". The house always wins. So personally I've not messed with wizmode in like a year. I suppose it can be helpful though to test certain stat and gameplay mechanics, then again that can spoil the fun of learning by deaths :lol:

the reason I thought lajatang is good is because of its 22 damage+ drain on a 140% base attack delay, compared to 25 damage and 200% delay on Executioner's Axe. I've been playing since version 6 and finally took a character all the way. This DdBe was definitely a challenge, because of inability to heal and Trog's Hand is ineffective unless you are at 5 or 6 piety. So I had to retrain in axes to take advantage of the only vampiric weapon I found in the game....
