IMB + Battlesphere does a lot of damage. As long as your defenses are pretty good, you don't need any other source of damage to win the game (though it could be helpful). If this were my character I would immediately work on getting about 15 more levels of dodging and 10 more levels of fighting.

I doubt that anyone is seriously considering this, but if so: skipping the turn (like pressing s) sounds like a much more reasonable result of missing the timer. And the timer would ideally be adjustable as an option (perhaps in rcfile or something), with 9 seconds probably suitable as the default.

rF+ does absolutely nothing against most monsters (because most monsters don't have any fire damage), and for the few that do, that ring is all you need to get the job done. I would wear the PDA and slaying rings, and ring swap when the resist is needed.

Stealth skill also makes it harder for enemies out of LOS to track you (this is regardless of your armour as far as I know), so the first few nearly-free-anyway levels are probably worth getting.

We could simply have the cap be modified directly by MP aptitude. So say the cap is 40: with a +10% mp aptitude, the cap becomes 44; with a +20% mp aptitude, the cap becomes 48; etc. But of course, removing the cap would be even simpler, imo there's no reason for it.

I see, I should have tried the setting before criticizing it. But unless this going to be the default setting in the next release, butchering will remain a pain in the ass for players who stick to defaults. And when possible, isn't it better to remove a superfluous action than automate it?

Shield of the Alchemist. Because the Alchemist had two hats, one of which was reinforced with a metal frame (causing it to attract electricity and therefore lose it's rElec property) so that it could be held with the off-hand and used to block attacks.
