A character dump would be very useful because these types of choices are heavily subjective. If your character is built a certain way, I could see possibly choosing the FDA over the CPA. I'm pretty sure CPA is going to be better for your character, but I have no way of saying that with any certainty.

I don't know if this is new or not, but Xom can animate your weapon. Since he can also swap your weapon with a monster's, it is a really good idea to carry a secondary weapon when worshiping Xom.

Red/Pale/Grey/Mottled/Purple are the colors I always want. Black/White/Yellow/Green are definitely the worse color options in comparison. I actually think Yellow is better than Green, but this is a biased opinion because I dig the acidic bite.

Unarmed Combat is very powerful and completely worth the investment. It has by and far the highest base damage in the game, but requires more XP than all other weapon types. However, high levels of UC has zero problems killing anything in the game (even without Claws mutation or forms).

I've always been partial to Cacodemons. Mutations are annoying, but I really like bolt of energy for its digging effect. By extension, I also like Deep Troll EE's. Newer Ereshkigal has been my favorite unique for quite some time now.

Cheibrados is an incredibly good god for people who do not know how to position themselves and don't understand the value of movement during combat. Unfortunately, these are two things that when done correctly are way better than Cheibrados ever.

It seems there's some weird myth that short blades can't kill everything in the game. You can win a short blade melee character without ever stabbing. Quickblades are really strong melee weapons, and you don't even need a great brand for them to be effective.
