LCS with Veh is nice, but you already have Iron shot, so not really worth pursuing. Get your char estabilished all around first (that is more EV, HP, AC, utility spells...

I'd be moderately comfortable trying Snake there if I had a source of rPois, maybe even without it as your spells and evokables are nice, but there's no reason to do so - Dungeon and Orc will be safer, and rewarding. I strongly recommend getting some Earth and Necromancy for Iron Shot/Bolt of Drain...

Edit: also, you can assign two weapons you use (in your case, I assume it's that staff and dagger) to letters a and b (assign items with =) and then swap them by pressing ' I never quite know when to start training Fighting, especially on casters.
