I really like a lot of the ideas tossed around in this discussion. It has been very interesting. I think the best solution is infinite inventory with consumables not counting towards inventory. What stat upgrade do you usually pick on your Octopodes? Do you go with Int to help with supplemental spell casting? Dex to help EV? Str to help melee damage/constriction? What about having missile weapons behave like rods? They have a charge number and a recharge speed. No ammo is needed and effectively every weapon has infinite ammo over time, but only a limited amount of ammo over the short term. I would really like to see damage information when looking at a weapon in my inventory. When I encounter Lerny early I tend to use Speed + wands and that kills it quite nicely but uses all your charges. With my TrBe I used Might, Speed, BiA (2 or 3), and a couple wand blasts. I did that to conserve my wands although I did not end up needing them much after that anyway.

It didn't. That explains it. I thought that it would register without the game ending, but that makes sense that it wouldn't be considered a tournament game if it didn't end before the tournament ended.
