eh, I would say that 34% is not a negligible or marginal increase considering you were comparing speed to vorpal. The answer might be yes, not no. Of course executioners axe is super slow and takes tons of skill to make it usable. Generally other weapons will outdamage it until you get a pretty high...

Very strong. So weapons take only 66% as long to swing as normal. So if your big weapon is .7, its between .4 and .5 units. You essentially get 1.5X the number of swings as you normally would. So consider it a brand that adds 50% extra damage which is not affected by any resistances, but only by AC.

Good point. Decided to ditch rF leather plus ozo's for rF plate, AC was too damn swingy when I faced something with fire which in depths zot, I'm anticipating it to just get worse. Once I get another scroll of remove curse, ill switch back to the elec one I suppose.

Using ash, so I'd prefer not to swap and just bind one of them. I have decent resists. Without Maxwell's rF+++, rC++, rN+, and rPois. Playing a DsIE who is worshipping Ash. Been using an elec double sword tha ti enchanted up but just came across Maxwell's thermic engine. Is this going to definitely outperform the elec on in most scenarios?

Scattershot and cloud wands are nice too in a pinch if you play trunk. Especially if you have a nice funnel with a group on the other side. With your AC and EV , you very easily could have stayed in the middle of V5 with heaven on earth. I did it with a barachi with like 30 AC and 30 ev about with no problems. Then again, maybe I take too many risks?

Been doing pretty alright with Barachi monk or wu jian. Have a triple sword of ice, double sword of ice, sword of zealot, Sharnga, and just found a eudemon blade. Mennas just dropped +1 large shield or orameim {fly, rElec, Dex+2, Stealth+}. Used the double sword until I could get triple sword online...

No longer a thing. Draining is a nice brand IMO. It becomes less useful if you do extended. Also doesn't do much against some of the bigger badder enemies (OoF, curse toe, lich). Got messed up by an efreet while trying to escape from a mob of centaurs and other crap.

Eh... troll defenses are kinda bad, to lose -5 dex isn't quite worth it IMO. Maybe if you were endgame with and just using it for Orbs of fire... even then, better defenses might help you more if you can get rF++ or even rF+ and a resistance potion from other sources.

So I can't decide if I should go M&F for slightly better aptitude with a decent artifact flail with elec brand or go for autumn katana? I'm almost favoring the katana since 1)I have it and 2) -1 to -2 isn't that big of a difference. Though, elec is a pretty sweet brand? Any advice? Dungeon Crawl...

Thanks for the advice. Was doing alright. cleared lair and orc. Got surrounded in snake by the blink encircle spell there with no blink and tele took too long. Ah well. if you're axes and don't want to blink things with your normal weapob, put it on a hand axe for a bit faster attacks

Shoals is easier to hex than snake for what its worth, so that can make it an easier choice for certain characters,

don't scum the abyss just for the armour, if nothing else is available, just let it be. You're defenses are good. I was just suggesting a better armour class with your str and a few enchant scrolls may "outclass" it (I kill myself sometimes)

yes the axe is end game for sure. Chop gives nonelemental extra damage, and exec axe is the biggest damage axe. Most characters it would probably not be worth the exp, but with a mibe, yeah go for it and enchant it up.

I did a KoBe as a stabber. If you wake things, berserk, BIA, or trogs hand and run all work well.

Also, don't try to stab packs. Wake the things at the edge and lure them. Its tempting to get the easy kills, but it usually just ends with you being noticed by everything when you're two steps away.

Are abyss monsters weak to holy? I did not notice any convulse when I was using a eudemon blade there. Is it better to use vampiric there?
