A better solution would be to add damage information about more kinds of abilities (ranged attacks, spells, etc) to monster xv. Then you can examine a yellow or red monster and make your own informed decision about how scary it is right now.

You can wait one turn by hitting . or swing your weapon (or tree branches if unarmed) in a direction by hitting ctrl+(direction) or pass a turn shouting with tt. Lots of ways to pass the time.

Add the Arena gameplay mode as a portal instead of labs. You're shown two groups of monsters and have to bet on which one will win, then you see them fight. If you bet correctly, you get the loot. If you bet incorrectly, you fight whatever's still alive.

I think there's a LUA script to do this but I'd love it as an rc setting. Something like cast_at_max_mp=spell1,spell2,spell3 and whenever you hit full MP it tries to cast each spell until one of them succeeds.

Not a bug - a side effect of wielding antimagic weapons is that your MP max is reduced to 33%. A possible modifier on artifacts is +9 MP. If you get a +9 MP antimagic artifact, both of the properties apply.

Gell's Gravitas already does increase in AoE as your spellpower increases. If that's all it needs, it just needs to scale faster with spellpower, which is a one liner change.

Well, the way Tales of Maj'Eyal solves this is to make it so, by default, autoexplore rests first if you are not at full resources. If you can't safely kill a hungry ghost and you aren't being pestered by anything else, you can drag it up the upstairs, pillar dance until a one tile gap forms due to energy randomisation, then take the downstairs and leave it behind.

* have a cursed -Tele piece of equipment and no scrolls of remove curse on you; or
