Re: When you just don't care about a character anymore.

Well it's a bit late, but I've generally had luck finding potions of cure mutation in Pan.

Re: [YASD] Extra Crispy

I was running double Ring of Magical Power + staff to push me up to 69 max mana, from there I was following the pattern Lichform check, Haste check (Firestorm(Firestorm), (Evoke Orb of Energy Macro)+(Rebuff if needed or Firestorm if mana > 85% if not Evoke Orb) and that was my infinite 3* round rins...

Re: [YASD] Extra Crispy

There were no monster left in Tomb 3; my last thoughts were. Well that looks like the last of the mumies Now to deal with the death curse summons Well there are 2 reapers, but I can 1-shot em; too bad they are next to me I'll go back to 2/run from them and heal off the curses takes a (1) step back t...

[YASD] Extra Crispy

Well I died to the element I love, I cannot say I am Unhappy with the way it turned out; I should have watched my strength and it is an Irony that I died not to the mummies, they had all died, but to thier curse both in str and in a reaper that hit for 57-57 ish damage two rounds in a row. Really ju...

Re: First time attempting to go for Zot

It might have been changed at some point, I haven't played a summoner in a while. It would make sense to limit the posable summons though.

Re: First time attempting to go for Zot

Once you have the Orb it is a race to the top. If you have armor worth enchanting (not artefact, you plan on using it in Zot) then use them, same with weapons. Have a crapton of backup available, for a che-naga you cannot run manually so you best have Blink+Control Teleport or Controlled Blink. Shad...

Leveling Transmuters

So, I've been running DrTm and after about 30 splats I've yet to get to lair. This is the only combination that is like this for me, even Ogre Wanderer and Mummy Monk get to Lair more reliably. So yeah, do I focus Unarmed, or Transmutations for Spider Form? Is spellcasting worth it early, is dodging...

Re: Weapon choice for Deep Dwarf

If you plan to rely on summons in mid-> late game I would suggest the trident. All of my DDNe love polearms due to their ability to reach attack through allies (aka meat shields). Without summons though e.g. EE with low Invo, Whip will do more damage long term. I am infatuated with polearms mix of r...

[YASD] I shall Mourn thee

And in hindsight I shall call him (Centaur Gladiator) Sir Tabby McPokerstein. It was a fun run, I died to an Ice Fiend and due to having no rC 20+ hp rotted away and -30%hp in mutations, but hey thats pandemonium. Also I had alot of healing and a scroll of Blinking but hey 3031 | D:4 | Identified th...

How good are Staves in Combat?

So I'm playing a Tengu Gladiator of Ashenarzi, and due to some luck I'm at a big decision point on D4. I'm current using is a +0/+0 trident / +0 Buckler combo with 6.2(+1) Polearms and 5.7(0) Shields However I've found The book of Dreams and the Book of Changes AND a Staff of Air I've bound my Armor...

Dual Elementalists

I haven't been able to find much information on this, so I figured I would post here. so Fire/Ice and Air/Earth both impose a -4 penalty on the opposing school. If I were to train both opposing elements at the same time for the same amounts from 0, would I avoid the penalty, get two -2 penalties, or...
