I assume that's because it uses the System Keyboard, which works like this already? It uses "Crawl" keyboard, but you can switch to system if you prefer, I believe the behaviour is the same, but the "activate on release" behaviour might just be OS specific - I tried it on Jelly ...

I've just tried the Android port of the console version and that successfully uses the first input method I'd suggested, ie holding your finger against the screen allows you to move across the keys and find the one you want, the key press is activated when you release your finger, reducing input err...

Thanks frogbotherer, you have fixed the shift issues and it is now fully playable for me. My tablet keyboard also has a touchpad on it and the onscreen cursor works great, though personally I prefer to use just keys. Hopefully the mods will see this port and add it to the download section on the web...

Thanks for this, unfortunately I have the same issues as before, the dungeon is still very dark (but not the player/monsters) and neither of my hardware shift keys work. I made sure I deleted both the file and the directory you mentioned.

galehar, I have the same problem, I've not changed any settings but the dungeon area is *almost* completely black - with brightness all the way up you can just make out that it is being drawn but heavily shaded - except for the player and monsters. Secret doors can be great, one vault in particular springs to mind, I found a secret door, which led to a room full of stone giants and other nasties. The monsters inside then started opening the other secret doors, which were pretty much the entire walls of the room. It was a good ambush.

Print screen works for me with 0.10 Tiles in Windows 7, though I do get the "Unknown command" message in Crawl. Have you tried Alt+Printscreen? This is meant to just capture the current active window.

Also worth checking that you have the correct graphics drivers installed for your system.

In Android, Opera Mobile support websockets (you need to enable it in the config), so you can load webtiles up on an Android tablet. I played briefly today edlothiol and I saw a big boost in performance - noticeable when using autoexplore. Thanks :-)

Previously, I'd not had lag issues, but had taken a big hit on performance when the minimap was added, it seems to be really speedy again now though.

I've never really had much of a problem with lag, however, the new minimap has hit my performance significantly, especially auto explore and when missiles are in transit :( Though, I guess it encourages me to think before I act.

For a long time I never used them either, but now they're one of my favourite scrolls. Use them to escape, stop ranged attacks, break mesmerized, approach statues etc.

I've mentioned this before, but its worth another mention: Scrolls of Detect Curse should detect curses on everything within LOS and not just in your inventory. It'd eliminate tedious juggling at your stash. I was going to add it to the wiki, I could see how to edit pages, but I couldn't immediately...
