I didn't understand the survey options, but I voted anyway, of course.

My preferred Hell layout would be nine floors, with runes on 3,5,7,9. Make whatever other changes are needed to keep the difficulty high, such as removing the quick escape stairs up.

If you're going to use a shield, use a large shield.

TSO is quite straightforward in extended. Passive heal on kills is amazing.

Axes are generally the best weapon type in extended, but I haven't played current Singing Sword, so I can't say how the AOE compares to axes.

If you provide a .lst file I'm sure we can find all sort of better items. The one that sticks out is large shields. Were none generated?

My concrete specific suggestion for Deep Dwarves:

- Remove the no regen ability, so they regen HP exactly like everyone else. Remove all the special cases associated with it (spirit shield etc)
- Remove the at-will HW.
- Reduce Invocations apt to -1, Evocations to +2.

Giving DD normal healing while taking away on-demand HW would be a nerf for experienced players but probably a buff for noobs.
