Stick with axes or go with vampiric Scimitar?

I'm on D6, I have 7 in axes with a war axe of chopping and I've just found a vampiric scimitar and I have 0 in long blades. Should I make the switch? I'm with Trog if that makes a difference.

I was in Orc:3 and Oka gifted me a nice demon Whip of Draining. I also have 2 scrolls of brand weapon. I don't know whether to keep the draining brand or try and get a flat damage brand on it. Thoughts anyone?

I should probably also mention I'm using a +2 vampiric eveningstar at the moment.

Two highly technical (not really) questions

In fact, these questions are probably quite simple and may be even a little stupid but here goes: 1. I play Crawl on both a laptop and netbook and would like to use Dropbox to sync offline games between the two. I assume I can just put the entire Crawl folder (I use the zip version) into my dropbox ...
