I finally ascended! Woohoo! Of course, I forgot to get a new character dump. Escaping with the orb was surprisingly uneventful, but running away is a spriggan's specialty. Zot wasn't too bad... Thanks for the responses! I played a little bit more before them and went through Orc 3, got scared when I saw loads of Ogres and Ogre mages in Orc 4, then went back to clear out the hive. I picked up a nice randart ring with +Lev rElec rPois MR SInv. Deeper in the dungeon I found some shops selling...
