Yeah so inscribing !d is possible but why are you picking up a bunch of junk in the first place? Pressing , opens a list of items under you and you select what you want to pick up, unless this isn't the default, in which case it's an option in the ini file.

This is one of the reasons why I suggested a few times to have a tiny floor above D:1 that is empty and has 2 or 3 stairs down.

You have made a huge mistake of not learning iron shot while having LCS, and also not training earth and conj above 20. Anyway this is why I stopped playing with spells as main source of damage, takes too long.

If caustic shrikes are a lot more dangerous than other monsters (that's an 'if', I never faced them) and they come in packs, then something is wrong. Doesn't mean they should be nerfed, maybe a few other monsters should be buffed.

Oh, I had regained a little faith but now it's lost again. "The crown is a bad item but it removes torment and that's just too strong because torment is one of the only dangers of extended and we wouldn't want players ignoring it, but it's still a bad item"

Yes you're right, a character is not good if it is too likely to die at ANY point in the game. So there are no overall strong characters that are weak in the early game.

This is only a little bit harder than the normal game. XL, skill levels, rod enchantment should be hidden (unless I'm missing something about rod enchantment). Maybe mp could be hidden too.
In particular skill levels have to be hidden to make this somewhat challenging.

If your goal is to win and you don't care about winning with Xom then you are definitely more likely to win if you convert to Jiyva. But I don't think your goal is entirely just to win if you picked Xom in the first place.
