There are only a small handful of truly debilitating bad mutations, the rest you can live with with little to no problem. This means that if you have a guaranteed way of removing the one or two really bad ones you'll get, you can scum !mutation and mut chunks quite easily.

It is refreshing to see someone asking The Right Questions for once. So frequently unwon players come in and ask which of these 3 sweet daggers to use, how they should be skilling, etc etc etc. And yet if they took all that effort and put it into improving their movement skills, they would win games...

I prefer to just use double swords on KoBe. This is not a joke, the -2 long blades apt is meaningless on a berserker who has infinite surplus exp. Why take the -2 hit? Preservation is generally a no-brainer because the other commonly available options in that slot are pretty situational. I'd be fine with seeing more reasonable options in that slot, even if it meant that preservation generated less frequently.

Teleportitis can be counteracted with teleport control, either inherent or on a ring, along with stasis. I've seen this said before, and it's just wrong. The places where you really don't want to be random teleporting are -cTele, so now you're forced to wear stasis - and being forced to wear stasis...

Note that if spell power is important at all, you cannot ignore the requisite schools. For example, having low-powered flight is fine, but casting low-powered fireballs is completely worthless.

Dealing with dynamic threats is fun and interesting. It's why shaft traps are awesome.

I do like this, I think the only issue is deciding on how to properly decrement the temporary counter. Exploration seems fine, as does decrementing on killdudes. Maybe both.
