it's worthless. i think it might help with yredelemnul's enslave soul ability, in case you wanted to use it on a unique. but most of the time they have high enough MR that it'll still probably fail.

So are you supposed to use it before you ever see the monsters at all? Or just quaff it, blink, and hope for the best? duck around the corner and quaff that potion, then they won't see you. also make sure you read the creature descriptions (using 'x'), some creatures like dogs will sense invisible ...

(Okawaru gifted it to you on level 19 of the Dungeon)
It affects your evasion (+5).
It affects your strength (+4).

if nothing else run away until you have a wand of fire/cold/draining. even wands of flame/frost will kill hydras with enough charges. i still haven't figured out how you're supposed to kill things that regenerate like hydras with shock

As for teleport Other - never found myself in a situation where I'd prefer to teleport a monster and not myself. So I never bother with it. the point of teleport other is that it's easier to cast than teleport self. if you are playing a caster build where you're trying to ramp up tloc it's a decent...

it's usually a pretty good item, especially for races that can't wear most helmets (spriggans, minotaurs, etc.) apportation might not seem like a great spell either at first, but it's perfect for this type of scenario.

i just tried a kenku wizard only to be taken down by crazy yiuf, he must have had a cloak of poison resistance because mephitic cloud didn't affect him. character was going pretty well and if i had gotten that cloak i'd have been set. i just can't get a kenku going...

Any attempt to confuse the knight or warriors would probably confuse me as well, and running around confused with priests smiting me didn't seem like an attractive plan. nope! i wondered why you had so many confusion potions. if you have poison resistance you won't get confused by evaporating a pot...

you used to be able to do bad stuff on purpose (drink a potion of slowing, for example) to amuse Xom, but that's been removed from newer releases. the only advice i can give you is to find a chaos weapon, that will definitely keep Xom happy. take Crazy Yiuf's quarterstaff!

you could safely do Elf 1-6 and the crypt. you might look for rMut if you want to slowly clean out Zot 5. i would look for sources to boost your AC as well before zot.

you're going to have to upgrade that whip, it's base damage is low despite the nice brand i'd say keep going up in necromancy and conjurations, get mystic blast, bolt of draining, poison arrow -- these will probably be more useful than agony twisted resurrection would work well with bolt of draining...
