Resistances are very much needed for extended. I would like to see anyone show a game where they managed to beat hells or even Zot with just one level of resistances or none.

You certainly can't fight your way through it. You would have to cheese it somehow.

Shoals just require a different set of 'resistances' than Snake and Swamp. If you go in with A skilled shield, Repel or Deflect missiles, or invis you should be able to handle it.

Just think about it the same way you would do Snake if you didn't have any rPois.

I think it works as it is now because Invocations is an XP dump. Often my choice of god when I don't want to do with the 'sensible' god boils down to, "Do I have enough XP to train Invocations too?"

A related issue: why do monster spells have so much looser damage distributions? A player with LCS does 10d22 damage at max power, and an ancient lich does something like 3d48. ER does way more than just affect the amount of AC you get. It affects dodging and spellcast rates.

If it was added, it should definitely be just a malmutation and not a racial trait for Naga/Cent.

No. Vampires being able to control their blood level would be an insane buff. It would promote tedium, not reduce it.

Every fight you'd bottle blood, use enough to regen, then vomit it up. There's very little reason to not stay bloodless in many builds.

My FeTm worshipped Nemelex instead. It was back when you could still sacrifice items to him. I hoarded permafood I couldn't eat then sacrificed them for decks of Wonder. Got a few experience cards, used Blade paws and tore things up.

From testing with various weapons and races, the only real time that UC outperforms a weapon is with Trolls. Everyone else does better with a well enchanted weapon. So no, UC isn't OP.

Either because they were removed or became non-optimal.

One of my former favorite builds was KoSt of Vehumet I think. Usually used Evaporate from the beginning all the way to the end along with some other spells I got along the way. Stabbing what I could, using spells on those I couldn't.
