Summary 0009252: Mouse left-click not work right
Description Playing along using mixture of autoexplore, left-click and arrow movement. After about half a level the mouse left-click will start acting like examine ("x") was pressed. (i.e. Left-click on tile or inventory just give description.) Arrow keys seem to act like 'move in direction until stopped by obstacle'.

Pressing 'x' allows normal left click once before is returns to previous behavior.

Exit and re-enter restores normal behavior for awhile.

Going up or down stairs seems to toggle behavior. i.e. When I go down a level I have to go back up and down again to get mouse left-click back to normal.

I'm also having strange behavior with the mouse.

See attached picture for example. I used Control-L.Click to wield the stones and it didn't update what weapon I had wielded in the top right. Once I went into % and back out it updated correctly.

It almost seems like there is a lag or delay in response or refresh after an action with the mouse. Even when using the mouse to move, the tile cursor has a 2-3 second delay in moving from where I was positioned the previous turn to where I am positioned now.

I first started noticing the mouse weirdness in version 0.16-a0-2622 if that helps.

Can confirm mouse problems. I cannot reliable equip items with mouse or go to a part of the dungeon by mouse clicking on it.

Using Ubuntu
Compiled trunk today (dec 12). Crawl version 016-a0-3060-g0a98a19!

Observed it in 0.16.1 Linux version. Left click just stopped working. It works again after restarting the game.

If this is the same bug I've been wondering about for months, it seems to fix itself for a little by just hitting ctrl, but it comes back after a while.

I've been able to reliably reproduce this bug by using shift-x for explore and then looking for stairs with shift-< or shift-> then hitting enter to travel to stairs. Once every 1-2 stair explores, I am unable to use normal left click function, but hitting the CTRL key restores all normal function instantly. Hope this helps, this bug is such a pain to 16.
