Summary | 0008822: Crash on start up: bad item name | ||||||||||||
Description |
When the users of the crawl server I set up or I attempt to play the game, as of a few days ago it crashes on startup with "/crawl-master/crawl-git-5bdd4d71a2/data/dat/des/tutorial/lesson3.des:162: Bad item name: 'ring of flight' Hit Enter to continue..." Sometimes other item names are featured. I am not sure if this is non-deterministic. Nothing has changed in the configs. It has happened through a few versions, first noticed by a player last night in what I think was 0.15-a0-2212-g5bdd4d7, persisting until now after update to 0.15-a0-2213-gb17132f. |

I'm fairly certain this was caused by http://s-z.org/neil/git/?p=crawl.git;a=commitdiff;h=b6cf2bc58d6b [^] , but I've not been able to duplicate the error locally. Are you using any kind of custom configurations that could help me replicate the bug? |

Hmm. I don't think I'm using anything custom, but the fact that the issue is unique to my server suggests that something's up with how it's configured. Are there any files in particular I should diff with a known default config? |

Should be fixed in 0.15-a0-2226-g4fb0955, i believe. |
