Summary 0006676: Changing depth in map mode can display phantom items/monsters
Description I have yet to figure out how to reliably reproduce this, but I've observed phantom (as in drawn, but not actually there) items and monsters when browsing the map in tiles. It occurs when I leave my character's current depth in map mode and then return to it. The phantom items/monsters are always drawn in my LOS in the same place every time. They seem to be from the depth I just visited in map mode, and I've noticed that they aren't drawn on that map when I view it.

I've attached a saved game that exhibits this behavior. To reproduce, issue these commands:

- Open map mode
- Move to the next deeper level
- Move back to the current level

Note that there will now be an apple, a stack of stones, and a rat drawn in LOS on the current map, but these aren't actually there. Also note that these objects weren't drawn on the next deeper map, where they actually are. Further, if you step to the right a few squares and repeat the above, a worm from the next deeper level (which you could see on its correct map before) will also be brought up to the current level.
