Summary 0000639: misleading item colours
Description I've asked before, and this is not a bug.

Sometimes, items will be generated with weird colours (white robes, for instance). This is rather misleading, and I don't think it should happen.

 I agree it's confusing, though you get used to it quickly.

 Well, I can see why you'd want to have flavourful colouration for Margery's fire sword, or someone wearing a lab coat etc. but it _is_ inconsistent with the usual coloration by type/artefactness. There's no reason we can't extend the classic_colour option to those kinds of flavour colorations, too.

Also, I've recently found a bright orange plain robe on D:1. Granted, that might have been because it was created in Tiles mode before I switched to ASCII to check something.

 +1 to removing recolouring from plain items. Robes on wights, Boris and druids, etc...
