This isn't the case for a statue or oklob, but the excluded monster could have been something sleeping that you didn't want to wake up. If autoexclusions are made to stop at glass, that should probably apply only to immobile monsters. |

I think autoexclusions should behave consistently, and not stop at glass. |

Autoexclusions stop at doors. They are even updated if you close the door. I guess a case could be made that behind a closed door is somehow farther than behind glass, but it doesn't seem like a very strong one.
I don't know of autoexclusions being applied to sleeping monsters. I would assume that sound treats glass walls like normal walls. I have a vague memory of trying and failing to wake up some insubstantial wisps on the other side of a glass wall once, but no guarantees.
Personally, I find autoexclusions annoying when they block legitimately safe movement. This is a clear instance of this, as the passage being blocked is the only approach to the teleporter and is in no danger. The other offender for this is LOS-sized exclusions around warrior statues with axes, whips, etc., but that would presumably be harder to address and would arguably be spoilery (how do I know that statue doesn't also have a wand?). |

You can wake up stuff through glass, no problem. They can still see you with their eyes closed you know. |
