Summary | 0005685: Sometimes crashes or hangs up at start time | ||||||||||||
Description |
2 variants : a) the game shows the start screen for a brief moment and closes then. (most of the time with "crawl.exe has encountered a problem and must be shut down" or whatever it says in english - in very rare occasions it closes down without notification. b)the start screen hangs at "loading databases" (process explorer shows that no cpu cycles are used - game uses up to 150MB memory (working set) but will never respond I never encountered this kind of behavior until the latest trunks (I am using XP SP3/Pentium4 2,8) PS: there are no crash files in morgue or crash |

I have same problem, except I also get random crashes when going to title screen after dying. Don't get any windows messages at all. |

At first I had the same problem, then one day my crawl build stopped working at all, always hanging on loading databases with error sound in background. WinXP sp3 |

Sadly, this is only a list of loaded modules, rather than an actual backtrace. I don't know how to obtain usable ones on Windows. |
