Summary | 0005576: Trying to wield a new weapon while wielding a distortion weapon leads to nonsensical/strange prompts | |||||||||||
Description |
When trying to wield a new weapon while you already have distortion wielded, you get the following prompt: "Really unwield a - a +4,+6 executioner's axe of distortion?" If you say 'N'o to this, you get: "Wield which item (- for none, * to show all)? (? for menu, Esc to quit)" This is pretty nonsensical; if you've already told the prompt that you don't want to unwield the distortion weapon, asking which weapon you do want to wield is nonsense. At this point, if you select a new weapon, it goes back to the "Really unwield [...]?" prompt, but you can even select the same distortion weapon you're already wielding, leading to the game both asking you first if you want to unwield that weapon, then if you want to wield it. You can get out of all of this by mashing Esc, but the prompts that show up are pretty confusing and redundant. Better behavior would be the game simply not prompting you further after you tell it you don't want to unwield your weapon. Note that this probably applies to other checks, like when you try to unwield a vampiric weapon. |
