Summary

0004569: Inventory screen on death can access wands and zap self for a second death

Description

Die, see items displayed to identify unidentified ones. Select the letter of a wand, eVoke it, target self, and bam suddenly you've died again, get a second announcement of a death is possible, boot to game viewing screen with no chance of seeing the high score table, and the production of a second, inaccessible log.

(0014704) Claws (developer) 2011-09-19 02:40 edited on: 2011-09-20 14:27	Actually, the boot is a crash, and thus the second log is only said to exist but doesn't actually exist, from additional experimentation. Fun! The original discoverer of this bug was johnnyzero, not I.

(0015737) evktalo (administrator) 2011-11-06 18:36	I noticed this too, on CDO, recent master. You can access item commands in post-mortem inventory, and even get a targeting prompt when evoking wands. I didn't try zapping myself, but zapping at monsters - or trying to quaff a potion of heal wounds - will proceed the game to the high score list. --Eino
