Summary 0003069: Crash when attempting to move towards a Lava Snake? (Windows Tiles)
Description I have attached the save file. If I load the save, and attempt to move south-west, it crashes about 3 times out of 4 attempts, and the other times it crashes the second move to the south-west. Moving south also seems to cause it. I haven't extensively tried other directions, and I don't know what's causing it.

The character is a Human Fighter worshiping Yredelemnul, in the southwest area from my character is a lava pit with a Lava Snake, although that may be unrelated.

Works for me, and I didn't see any odd monsters or features down there.

What's your screen resolution? Maybe this has got something to do with the detached monster tab.

Also, what's the version hash following the "4018-g"?

crawl_tiles-0.8.0-a0-4018-g3c78c00

My screen resolution is 1920x1080.

Anything else I can give? I also had it crash once later on the level in a different spot. I know that's really vague, but I don't know what else to mention.

EDIT: I tried it again and sometimes I can go southwest a few times also, and be fine, but a few more steps down in that area almost inevitably crashes straight to desktop.

Is there a crash dump/debug file I can find/upload?

Might be related to 0002884. If so, updating to f239748 or later might help.

I don't think Windows does crash dumps. :(

@galehar: Could you try this on a larger screen?

I can reproduce the bug with the 0.8.0-a0-4018-g3c78c00 version, and it is fixed in master.

He died soon afterwards, but I didn't use the monster tab at all. In using the next version of the trunk, I didn't see any problems, for whatever it's worth. :)

Did it end up being a large screen issue?

Roughly speaking, it was an issue with the monster tab that was more likely to trigger the more monsters could be displayed in the tab, and thus more volatile for large screens.
