There have been some significant changes to enslaved souls in trunk with regard to stats (e.g. preserving the fighter, dial-wielding, and archer melee flags of the original monster), so which exact trunk version is this occurring with?
Or do you mean that an enslaved orc warrior is a spectral orc, and not a spectral orc warrior? |

This is also the case for all kinds of zombies and skeletons.
However, instead of letting them use non-base monster types, I'd rather pass the HD (trivial) and attacks (would need a bit of effort).
The latter would be nice for vaults, too. |

You can click the view advanced tab to see the exact product version (you can also make this the default by changing your account settings), among other things, assuming the reporter included that information. Anyway, 0.8.0-a0-1257-gba5b54d, so I just compiled. And to be specific, Enslave soul produces MONS_SPECTRAL_THING so it has, for instance, 8ac 5ev and 50ish hp instead of whatever the enslaved soul had.

Also simulacra.

Sounds good to me too, but do you mean the HD and attacks of the base monster, or of the non-base monster?

Okay; thanks for the info. |

I mean, HD and attacks of whatever it was when it died. Including levelled up, drained or redefined ones. |

All of those except base damage, which was bugged, used to be passed, I believe

Okay. I've been looking into this, and it seems that in the case of the player's animating zombies/skeletons, the HD of the monster when it dies will have to be saved as a property of the corpse/skeleton item. |

For the record, in current trunk, HD should now be preserved properly in zombified types. Base damage still isn't, at least for now. |
