I know it's not intended, but I've always wondered about staircases leading to unexpected branches, alternative connections, and more dynamic topology :-). Like, you'd find a cave-in at D:17 and had to reach Vaults through Snake Pit. At least there's more than one way to end up in the Abyss, and Abyss itself is a shortcut to Pandemonium. |
