Summary | 0012650: If repeat speed for keypresses is set high enough it can ignore --more--. | |||||||||||
Description |
So recently I found out that real-time speedrunners modified repeat speed for keypresses. After I set it to 230 (not sure what units these are) I was surprised both pleasantly and not. Most fights end very quickly if I hold down 'Tab', but also sometimes --more-- are ignored. It looks like this: I hold 'Tab' down for a second or two, screen freezes (animations stop) and then appears either a screen with corpses or a screen with --more--. Not holding 'Tab' anymore, I press spacebar, and next screen with --more-- is presented, and next, and next. Yes, I'm sure it's not a single turn with mutiple --more--, but several turns. I was able to reproduce it on local Tiles. OS is Linux Mint. |
