Shroud of Golubria has a max spellpower of 200, unusual for a level 2 spell.
Spellpower in no way affects its damage-absorbing capabilities. It does affect the duration; the duration is increased by 7 + roll_dice(2, pow) turns... to a maximum of 50. This means that increases in spellpower increase the odds of getting the maximum duration of 50 turns - but not very much; at spellpower 100 the odds of not getting maximum duration are already under 9%.
While reducing the maximum spellpower would technically be a nerf to the spell, I submit that at the moment the user is badly misled by seeing a full-length spellpower bar. They might well naively suppose that high spellpower causes the spell to be considerably more effective than low spellpower.
I submit the maximum spellpower should be changed to 50. |
