Summary 0001171: killing enslaved monsters does not annoy Okawaru
Description It could be argued that this is not a bug, and that Okawaru only cares if actual allies are harmed (e.g. summons). But I think that his flavour/conduct is so weak as to demand strengthening: Okawaru should consider the enslavement+attack combo as dishonourable.

Uhm, it does -- if you attack them yourself.

Making them attack their friends, on the other hand, is explicitely recognized as a form of confusion, and thus Oka and Ely allow it.

Making "dishonourable" acts matter would be encroaching on TSO's theme.

This might be a matter of flavor - it seems that Okawaru would place value on a creature's will to fight, and would be insulted by having controlled creatures battle without their "warrior spirit" (or whatever), as there's no glory in that.

So is using poison, and so on.

Chivalry = trying to lose wars. It was introduced in RL medieval times as an attempt to salvage the value of knights, who had no chances against crossbows or hit&run tactics.

How is being mind controlled comparable to using ranged combat, poison, or whatever? Okawaru doesn't care how people fight, but it's reasonable that he'd care if people were fighting of their own will. Otherwise they're just robots, and the battle is meaningless. If Okawaru's only in this for the slaughter, he might as well be Makhleb or Trog.

Makhleb and Trog are there for slaughter.

Okawaru is there for winning wars.

TSO is there to punish the wicked but only without being "wicked" yourself.

Okawaru has different, less strict ally requirements now so I feel safe resolving this.
